ASG Services—We Handle the Entire Transaction
When you are selling your business and hire an agent to do the legwork, that is exactly what you expect – for the agent to do the work you are paying for. While this may not be the case with other firms handling the sale of businesses, it is exactly how ASG operates. We have many value-added services, so all you have to do is relax knowing the sale of your business is in good hands. Read the following for an overview of all the value added services ASG offers you!
Business Pricing and Valuations: As you already know, there is no charge for ASG to determine the valuation range for your business. What you might not know is that when we access our large database of potential buyers for those interested in your business, we never put a price on your company. Why create a ceiling above which the price won't go? Instead, we allow the market to determine your business’ value by soliciting multiple offers and negotiating the offering prices to maximize the sale price for you, our client.
To make an appointment with one of our business brokers for a free confidential business valuation discussion, please call 858-320-0474 or email a business broker.
Discretion: Discretion and confidentiality are key when marketing your business for sale. With ASG, your clients, employees and vendors should only become aware of the sale of the business the day after the transaction has been completed successfully.
Lenders and Financing: You want to sell your business and want to be sure the buyer can pay you for it to close the deal. As a result, the buyer needs financing. We at ASG do not represent buyers, but we do work very hard to secure their financing, enabling sellers to be “cashed out.” Frequently buyers need to pay 15% of the base price of the sale with financing providing the balance of the purchase price.
Packaging: We at ASG take the time and effort to really understand your business, where it has been and where it is going, in order to create a confidential review of the business to present to potential buyers. ASG makes sure all the possibilities and attributes of your company are detailed in the Confidential Business Review (approved by you) to pique the interest of potential buyers and to increase response and purchase offers.
Locating Buyers: Our large database of potential buyers helps us locate the best offers for your company. By potential buyers we mean individuals and/or companies that have the means of offering the highest price for your business and actually paying for it.
Offers: With ASG's list of potential buyers, there will likely be multiple offers on your business. Since there is no set price on your business, more offers drive up the selling price, which is exactly what ASG wants to do for you. As a result, understanding Letters of Intent, and when they are considered binding agreements and non-binding agreements, is important.
Negotiations: ASG has been in business for more than 25 years, and with over a 90% success rate, we are very skilled at negotiations. Because of this you will benefit significantly: Our negotiation skills will increase the selling price of your business! Doesn’t it make sense to have an experienced professional working on your behalf?
Due Diligence: ASG helps the buyer understand the process of due diligence in order to legally protect the seller before, during and after the transaction.
Legal Documents and Taxes: While ASG is not licensed to provide legal documentation or advice on taxes or the law, we certainly provide guidelines that will help you understand the process and what you need to do to protect yourself. We will work closely with your legal and accounting advisers to ensure the best possible “win/win” deal is created.
