We Only Sell Businesses

 

Here at ASG we sell businesses: That is our job. If you want to sell your distribution, manufacturing, service or professional company, then we can assist you by doing the following:

  • Providing a free business valuation
  • Finding qualified buyers
  • Locating lenders
  • Managing the process to ensure confidentiality and an efficient, timely completion of the sale.

The businesses we represent are located in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino and/or Riverside Counties (and we occasionally accept clients from elsewhere in the US). We have some basic requirements for the businesses we take on as clients. While there is some leeway with the following requirements, in general our clients are larger, established businesses with these characteristics:

Market Values from $1,000,000 to $20,000,000

Employees from fewer than 10 to more than 200

Revenues from $500,000 to $50,000,000

We specialize in the M&A field, and we do not focus on any one particular industry. We are specialists IN THE PROCESS, not in any one industry. That being said, we do not represent restaurants, hotels, motels, taverns, start-ups or buyers.


We Only Represent Sellers

 

All of our efforts are spent representing sellers. In fact, we are Business Seller Representation Specialists and handle all of the necessary arrangements for our clients. We have extensive buyer databases, which we use to locate buyers for our clients. In addition, we develop customized marketing plans for each company we represent. Also included as part of our Seller Representation is the handling of the preparations for sale that can maximize after-tax cash for our clients, while minimizing the risks associated with taxes, confidentiality and legal issues. This includes being a liaison not only between the buyer and seller, but also the lender, the attorneys involved in the transaction, the CPAs, escrow, the appraisers and all the other pieces of the puzzle.

 

How We are Compensated

 

We are a firm believer in Success Fees -- we only receive compensation when the sale is successfully completed. Simply put, we only get paid when you get paid. We have adopted this approach for several reasons. First of all, we are confident in our services (and have over a 90% success rate) so you only pay when the transaction closes. Also, while front-end fees are becoming common in the business broker industry, ASG doesn't operate that way. Paying front-end fees leaves you vulnerable, since you may not receive the services you paid for and the sale may not go through. With other intermediaries you lose the up-front fees whether there is a sale or not. When ASG represents your business, you only pay us when the transaction closes.
